A New Summer Rhythm at Klose & Soan

There’s a little shift in rhythm happening at Klose & Soan this summer.

As many of you know, alongside the restaurant we also run Klose & Soan Catering, something that has gently existed since before Klose & Soan became all that you’ve come to know. Over the years, catering weddings and events have become an increasingly important part of what we do, and this summer is shaping up to be a particularly lively season.

Because of that, we’ve made the decision to pause our restaurant kitchen from 27th June for the summer months, allowing Matt and the team to focus fully on a season of celebrations, gatherings and projects beyond the space.

That means June will be your final chance, for now, to experience Klose & Soan in its current form.

For one last month, the restaurant will continue as it always has, seasonal plates coming from the kitchen, thoughtful wines flowing from the bar, music humming softly through the space, and long evenings centred around the simple joy of gathering together.

Over the years, so many of you have made this place what it is. From quick glasses of wine that turned into whole evenings, to birthday dinners, date nights, solo meals at the bar, get togethers, weddings, exhibitions and late-night conversations — the restaurant has always been about more than just food. It has been about community, connection, and creating a space that people could return to again and again.

So we’d really love to spend these final weeks of restaurant service with you.

Whether you’ve been coming since the early days or have been meaning to visit for a while, this month feels like a beautiful moment to gather everyone back into the space one more time before things evolve into something new.

And while the kitchen may pause, we still have a summer of gathering ahead for you all to enjoy.

Throughout July and August, Becki and Phoebe will take over the front of house with a new pop-up project: ToGather Deptford.  

The space will shift into a looser, more community-led rhythm centered around wine and non-alcoholic bevies, exhibitions, workshops, daytime happenings, pop-up kitchens, private hire and a little late-night bar energy, all shaped around connection, creativity, and bringing people together in the ways we love most.

There’s still lots to come before then too, including a new June exhibition from Daisy Henderson launching next week, alongside new bar offerings and a handful of summer evenings we can’t wait to share with you.

But first: one last month of dining with Klose & Soan. Thursday Steak Night, alongside Fridays and Saturdays serving up the seasonal plates you’ve come to know and love.

So come and spend June with us. Book a table, drink a glass, order dessert, stay a little longer than planned — or all of the above.
