February's Wednesday Wine Club with Under The Bonnet

A relaxed midweek wine night in Deptford, London (the last Wednesday of the month)

Midweek evenings are made for slowing down a little and connecting in real life, especially in these times. It’s when, with a good glass in hand and sharing delicious plates amongst friends, the conversation flowing, and a clock that doesn’t need watching over it, feels like just the remedy for all that has been and all that is to come — even if just for the night.

This February, we’re launching a night with all of this in mind: Wednesday Wine Club at Klose & Soan — a relaxed, recurring natural wine night in Deptford, created in collaboration with our babes at Under the Bonnet.

Less formal wine tasting, more neighbourhood hangout — with really excellent wine and wisdom at the centre.

This month’s focus: Alsace wines

Our first Wine Club on Wednesday 25th February, takes us to Alsace, a region we love to return to again and again for its quietly expressive, food-friendly, and absolutely delicious wines.

Chosen by Al and the team at Under The Bonnet, expect natural and organic bottles with energy, texture, and depth, wines made and asked to be enjoyed with great company and food. Al will be on hand throughout the evening, chatting with you about his chosen bottles, answering questions, and sharing stories about the pours you’ll be enjoying. 

No scripts.  Just great wine, poured with care, consideration, insight and passion. 

The food

Alongside the wines, we’ll be serving a delicious election of snacks and small plates. Matt is currently working on a concise, bistro-style menu inspired by Alsace — thoughtful, seasonal dishes designed to work naturally with the wines and made with sharing in mind.

Plates will be available throughout the evening, ordered as and when you fancy, and, as always, with a focus on balance, comfort, and flavour.

How the evening works

Wine Club Wednesdays are ticketed at £15 per person.

This secures your seat — and that £15 is fully redeemable on the night against whatever you choose to eat or drink. Think of it as spend-in-advance rather than an extra cost.

On the night feel free to:

• Order wine by the glass, carafe, or bottle

• Opt for the 4 × 75ml Alsace discovery wine flight

• Share a few snacks and small plates or even a dessert

• Relax, chat, and explore at your own pace
  
  

We’ll have tables set for sharing, as well as seats at the bar, encouraging a sense of togetherness and easy conversation — whether you arrive with friends or end up making some by the end of the night.

Walk-ins are always welcome where space allows.

This night is much more than just a reason to enjoy amazing wine and delicious food. Which we always encourage! It’s about creating space for discovery, for connection, and to provide that little midweek (or end-of-the-month) pick-me-up we all need sometimes.
