The Gallery, June Exhibition: Carlotta Rosa Marangone

This summer, we’re inviting you to step into the quietly powerful world of Carlotta Rosa Marangone, whose work will be exhibited in our restaurant, gallery, and wine bar space from 5th June to 3rd July.

Carlotta Rosa Marangone lives and works in South London as a gardener.

Like many, the pandemic drew her closer to the immediate world around her—in her case, a Victorian garden behind the house she was renting. It was there that her attention shifted again to plants, particularly those often dismissed as weeds.

Her wanderings later expanded to the London marshes and more urban terrain, where she began to notice the synchronicities between human migration and plant movement. This became the foundation for her cameraless prints: scans of roadside flora collected from tarmac and other seemingly inhospitable places.

This quietly subversive work invites reflection on how life endures and adapts in overlooked places—on pavements, in cracks, in the margins.

We hope you’ll join us to welcome Carlotta and her stunning collection of work over a glass of wine or even a plate of something delicious on Thursday 5th June from 6:30pm for the opening night!
